Medivoice Meets Ibraheem Tajudeen Esq. A.K.A.Mandela. “We Write to Set Things Right”

We write to set things right. Dear readers, guess who we have here today- Mandela. We are delighted to have another amazing writer whose pen dances as its ink sings melodious songs of alphabets.

Medivoice: Good day, it’s nice to have you here, can we meet you, please?

Mandela: It is nice to have you too. First, I am Ibraheem Tajudeeen, a.k.a Mandela. I am a lawyer, public speaking and creative writing coach. I write almost every day. My nature and job demand it. I want to be a doctor of Law, Camera and Microphone.😎

Medivoice: Wow! That’s a nice intro, may I call you Dr. LCM ?😊. For how long have you been writing?

Mandela:Well, I started writing in senior secondary school class. By the time I was in SSS 2, I already had a collection of works I could publish. It was when I was in the university I later did.

Medivoice: Okay. So,What genre do you love writing and why?

Mandela: In life, when you know you do something effortlessly, it’s really an area one should show a lot of commitment and improvement. Back in secondary school, in spite that I joined Art Class very lately, I still find happiness in poetry, in literature classes. I read and understood poems easily, compared to other genre. For years, I taught poetry as area of specialisation in literature.

Medivoice: That means you do more of poetry. Do you do other genre?

Mandela: Yes, I do. I teach creative/continuous writing and my students have won prizes and awards; this evidences the fact that I am not bad at other genre.

Medivoice: Perhaps, Do you have a pseudonym?

Mandela: I don’t have any pen name. I’ve never deemed it necessary and essential.

Medivoice: Who/what inspires you to write?

Mandela: With all level of humility, I’ve heard people say they love my posts on social media. I mightn’t have won any prize or award for writing before but my works have always drawn attention. People want to see me write; they want to check out my work. I don’t know why but I know it’s not because I’m the best among my equals. I guess it’s because I write as I’m inspired. What inspires my writings? I write whenever (1) I experience an event (2) it comes to my mind to write and (3) I read people’s opinions – I tend to respond.

Medivoice: What’s the best article you’ve read so far and who’s the author

Mandela: It’s difficult to pick but I can say that I love reading autobiographies. My natural self love reality/non-fictional.

Medivoice: Do you also speak, or you only write?

Mandela: I do more of speaking than writing. I’m a public speaking coach. I have an organisation that trains people on how to speak.

Medivoice: Moreover, Have you been involved in commercial writing?

Mandela: No, I haven’t done that but I have done adverts for businesses. I also teach children below thirteen years and teenagers how to run advert (voice over).

Medivoice: Really! Training kids should be so amazing🤗. So, What’s the secret behind your success in writing/speaking so far

Mandela: I watch the best speakers; I read from good writers everyday. I have series of English language textbooks that I consult as well. I learn through these.

Medivoice: Also, What challenges have you faced on this journey and how have you been able to overcome them?

Mandela: It cost me an arm and a leg to know how to write well. I engaged a personal coach in secondary school. Though, I wasn’t a bad writer but I didn’t like my level then. So, I wrote endlessly; I read works of good writers.

Medivoice: Still and all, If you’re to choose a partner; a poet, writer, or nerd?

Mandela: I don’t know if I’m allowed to say “na collabo o”. I love a partner who is future and career driven but if she can write and speak, I can spend my all on her to go places.

Medivoice: That’s so sweet😊. Do you ghostwrite?

Mandela: Hmm sometimes, I ghostwrite. I love being a behind-the-scenes person.

Medivoice: Give a piece of advice to upcoming writers

Mandela: Writing is essential. If it is not, the Qur’an and Bible wouldn’t exist. Everyone needs to know how to write. I would say every writer should continue to strive to be a good writer if they cannot become the best writer. Do all it takes to write.

Medivoice: Shout out

Mandela: To everyone striving to write well. To my past tutors, thank you.

Medivoice: Its nice to have you here once again. We really appreciate your pleasing response. I wish I could get an autograph 😌. Have a nice day ahead
