We have heard stories from different alumni of this great citadel of learning. But one story stands out, for the purpose of this post. And that’s the story of how they were awarded a BSc. after the first few years.
So, you mean that I could at least have a certificate if I decided to leave right now? And all that work I had to put in for the past 5/6 years won’t go to total waste? Please bring back the BSc.!
I contemplated so much on the advantages, that I started having some bad inkling about the whole idea.
Yes! A BSc at least upgrades your highest level of education, but it also does this to you:
It makes you feel like there’s an easy way out, and you can give up anytime. That those dreams you nurtured over the years weren’t worth it after all.
Remember all those overnights, early-morning alarms, days you went to bed without food. The jabs you received that threatened the integrity of your mental health. All because of one thing: “The Desire to be a Medical Doctor” “The Need to help the sick recover”. Don’t let all that go to waste.
So would you really want just a BSc or aim higher for an MBChB? Let me know what your thoughts are in the comment section.
