Good day, please can give a brief introduction about yourself?
I am Olajide Ayomide, a part 4 medical student that loves to read and write. My pen name is Pauropodia.
Oh nice. What came first for you reading or writing? And when did you start?
Writing.
I grew up writing fantasy stories where my characters could fly and fight.
Reading came much later when I entered secondary school.
I see that you had love for fantasy while you were young? Does your writing flame still burn for fantasy, or it has been stolen by another genre?
It has been stolen by romance but that’s still kind of fantasy depending on who you ask.
Your pen name is pauropodia. What does it mean?
Funny story, it was in Part 1 and Bolu, the EIC at the time, asked us to get a name. I wanted something mysterious. I was studying zoo 101 at the time, so you know , one thing led to another and I was stuck with pauropodia.
Wow, you really can draw inspirations from anything. What things would you say inspires your writings?
Life experiences and med school.
How can you say your writing has improved over the years?
I know how to better express my feelings. I also have a better command of the grammatical rules.
Interesting.
What can you say has improved your writing over the years?
Reading more books and other writer’s works.
It also helps that I write more often.
Alright, where do you see yourself as a writer in the next five years?
I see myself with an active blog with a community of readers eager to read my work.
