When asked about their expectations for the upcoming Hub, members expressed various thoughts and hopes.
Amaka shared, “I look forward to a community where we not only move ‘stuff’ but grow and develop in other career paths.”
Debby, another member, expressed her anticipation for “tech opportunities, skills, and platforms for medical students to delve into.”
For Favour, the expectation is straightforward: “If it fulfils its advertised purpose of serving as a proper community, that’s good enough for me.”
Sophia hopes the Hub will improve her skills by connecting her with like-minded individuals, both amateurs and professionals. I also look forward to workshops, seminars, fun activities, and prompts.”
What Will Make The Hub Regularly Usable?
Members also shared insights into the features that would encourage regular use of the Hub.
According to Amaka, “A feature that will make me use the Hub regularly would be the opportunity to connect with people of like minds.”
Debby stated that she would primarily make use of the Content Creation and Entrepreneur Hubs.
For Favour, the most appealing aspect would be networking, hoping that “other facilities would join in, in good time.”
Sophia expressed interest in freelancing and tech, hoping to “improve my tech skills and make money from it.”
Improving Communication And Collaboration
Members also discussed how the Hub could enhance communication and collaboration within the association.
Amaka believes the Hub can improve communication by creating platforms for engagement, assigning tasks and deadlines, and sharing knowledge to ensure growth.
Debby noted that the Hub could bring together people with similar interests and said, “If I’m interested in content creation, I need to interact with those who know more or are eager to learn.”
Favour emphasized that “society breeds communication, especially when value is publicized, giving everyone a chance to showcase their skills.”
Sophia also shared that the Hub could help productive members “reach out to colleagues and collaborate beyond the classroom, whether in entrepreneurship, freelancing, or tech gigs.”
