Hello dearest readers, it’s another episode where we bring amazing personalities your way and as always, we did’nt fail you. Meet Abolarinwa Clinton, a phenomenal member of the tenacious class.
Good day Mr Abolarinwa Clinton. It’s good to have you on today’s episode. Can you give a short introduction of yourself please.
Thank you. I’m honored to be the personality of the week😊
I’m Clinton Abolarinwa, a Christian who is in his 4th year of Medical School🌹
A native of Osun State, born but not bred.
I’m passionate about the Christian Faith, helping people to see all that God offers for them.
I actually do love Medicine and I have a photography business alongside.
In my free time, I love connecting with people to see the light and different views and insights they have to offer
You’re a pretty interesting personality I must say🤭. How does it feel to be finaly done with the preclinical classes😊
Well, it feels great not because it was fun though, but because I’m getting closer to being the medical professional I want to be.
So a step closer to the end is good for me.
Three more years to go and I’m so happy for you. Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself.
Fun fact
Let’s see…
I don’t know how to cram😭. I’m sure you know how cramming is essential in Med School 😹.
I envy people who can cram.🌝🥲
Ohh wowww!! How then were you able to pass preclinicals with a distinction? Don’t ask me how I know please😂
Not being able to cram leaves me with being responsible with reading more. Reading topics way earlier before exams and actually understanding what I read. In the long run, it helps us become a better doctor I guess 😹. So how did I get a distinction? “With God’s help and, of course, diligence.
That makes sense. You mentioned the other time that you do photography on the side. How were you able to juggle photography and the other things you do with medical school seeing that you said you’ve had to read more.
Hmm. Well, through my preclinical days, I didn’t really put much of my time into photography. Just worked with a few of my coursemates and wasn’t open to everyone. But then after Preclinical exams, I’ve decided to go all out for it which is what I’m doing now. Regarding balancing things, I believe it’s just going to be a thing of setting your priority right.😊
So enough of medicine, let’s talk about people. Are there people you look up to or admire in college?Who are those people and why do you admire them?
Okayyyyyy😹 I do. Motajo Sinmi:(Current 400lvl): I love the fact that she sees the positive side of things every time we speak. You’d expect to hear the same remarks regarding how difficult classes are, exams and all sorts. But with Sinmi, there’s always an optimistic side to it. And you really need a lot of that in College.
A lot of optimism is definitely needed in medical school. I’m aware that you were the class pastor for your class last session. How was the expeeience like?
Whooooosh
Has to be one of the best experiences of the Preclinical Classes for me.
I didn’t really know a lot of my coursemates, but being the class pastor allowed me to meet people with beautiful minds such as Adedoyin Adeyemi, Folake, Adedayo and so on.
Aside from that, the privilege to share my faith with other people(so priceless). Getting to fellowship with Jesus alongside my coursemates gives a different kind of feeling, makes you feel you’re not alone in all of this.
So yeah, that’s it.
Seems like you had a really great experience. I can feel the joy from your text. Do you read though? And do you have a favourite writer?
Yeah, self development and spiritual books. My favorite would be Dr Myles Munroe🤌
What’s a quote you always try to live by
All things are possible to him that believe✨🌹I can do whatever I set my heart to do regardless of how impossible it seems. So instead of looking at the challenge from the point of defeat, I choose to look at it from a standpoint of success. So I’m basically working towards the success of that endeavor 🌹❤️
Optimism again. Love it for you!
Final words for Medivoice?😊
I want to express my sincere gratitude to you, Miss Leke-Oke and, of course, Medivoice at large for giving me this opportunity. It’s been a privilege to share my thoughts and experiences, and I truly appreciate the insightful questions and the thoughtful discussion we’ve had today.
It’s a pleasure to have you do this with us too, Mr Abolarinwa Clinton. Thank you for your time
