We also got a statement from the Chairperson of the Gloryland week Planning Committee, who doubles as the current Vice-President of IFUMSA

The Gloryland Week celebration was aimed at bringing Medical Students away from the books and the stress of Medical School to have fun..
The theme of this year’s celebration was: MEDI-FEST: Celebrating Health With A Splash Of Fun

To the Glory of God, the week was a Success and every member of the Gloryland Hostel had an amazing time.

I’m grateful for the privilege and the trust bestowed on me to serve in the capacity of the Chairperson of the Planning Committee..

It was a really challenging and intriguing ride. Despite all difficulties, God came through and worked things out.

I can not but mention the support I got from my team members and amazing friends throughout the period. Working with them was bliss.

With joy in my heart, I can proudly say that Gloryland Week, 2023 went well and It was a Success!!!

Hon. Evelyn Atoyebi (Part 5, Medicine)

The Chairman of Gloryland Hall, Hon. Bassey Oku also has this to say.

It was awesome seeing all clinical students drop their books to have some fun, socialize with each other, get to know each other and participate in one or two activities. I’m also grateful for the support I got from all Glorylanders and even medical students outside Gloryland. It was so so massive. From the meet and greet to the cooking competition, to the football match, and The Grand Finale where we fed everyone sumptuously.

Most importantly, I’m glad we built on the last Gloryland week and made it better. We are also hoping that subsequent tenures will do better than we have because the purpose of Gloryland week is to strengthen the social bond among medical students and our influence within this Hospital community, and we were able to achieve that this year. All thanks to everyone, the LOC committee, Glorylanders and even MediVoice for covering our event this year.

Oku Bassey, Gloryland Chairman (Part 6, Medicine)

The Gloryland 2023 week came to an end with joy on the faces of Glorylanders, as well as appreciations to the organizers of the event.
