There I was in the tunnel of life
Darkness crept over me,
Fear ran beneath me.
I was surrounded with unachieved goals screaming my name
Dashed hopes laughed at me
I felt trapped in uncertainties of what the future held
And just when I was giving in
A ray of assurance came through
Reminding me of your promises to never let go
To give me all it took to live.
That was all I needed
To get that flicker of hope spark in me
And push through to the end.
