IFUMSA Football League: An Interview with Unicus Medicos’ Captain

Can we meet you?

My name is Alabi Mohammed. I am the captain of the Unicus team.

Your team lost its opening match against the Stalwarts last weekend. What do you have to say about the game?

Well, I don’t have much to say, the team defended well and tried our best, but our opponent played better than we did, so that tells us we have more work to do and work on our mistakes.

In an interview with your team coach a few weeks ago, he said the team is in much better shape now. However, you failed to pull a threat at your opponent throughout the last game. Do you really think that you’re now at the level your coach said you were a few weeks ago?

Yeah, it’s true. We are in better shape, and as you can see, our loss was due to a slight mistake. We played and fought very well, and the differences can be seen compared to our previous matches.

With four more games to go your league campaign, do you still consider yourselves part of the contenders for the title?

Yes, if we play with the same courage and proper tactics, all is possible.

Your team’s next game is against Exypnos, a team yet to lose a point in the league. What are your expectations from the game, and do you see your team sharing the points with them or possibly even taking all 3 points at the end of the game?

We have played them multiple times and know what to do, so if we do what is needed, the 3 points are ours…
