Meet Delight, a Member of the Part 2 Consituency

Medivoice: Yo guys, welcome to another episode of Personality of the week. I have here with me, Miss Delight Olawale-Success. Let us get to meet her.

POTW: I am Delight Olawale-Success. A member of the Tenacious constituency. ๐Ÿ˜Œ
I am from Ondo State and I live in Ogun State.

Medivoice: Awwwwn, your name is unique the blend of Yoruba and English is pleasing to the ears. A pleasure to have you here with us. Firstly, how would you rate the Asuu strike? Is it something you wished lingered on till the end of the year or you are certainly excited about resumption?

POTW: Well, my strike experience is divided into three. ๐Ÿ˜‚
At first, I was not concerned about the strike, just took it as one of those things. So, I just kept myself busy with other things.

After like 4 months, I started feeling pressured.๐Ÿ˜‚Most of my mates were already in 400 level and here I was still in the first semester of 200 level, as a fresher.๐Ÿ˜ญ

When it was 7 months into the strike, I already resigned to my fate of not resuming this year, and now they want us to resume.๐Ÿ˜’
I don’t want to resume.๐Ÿ˜ญ

Medivoice: Omo, babe๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Indeed, I can relate because I felt just exactly like you did. I guess almost everyone felt the same way. However, we students don’t have any say as regards the educational system, so as they have ordered us to resume, we just have to ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. So, of the thousands of schools in the world and billions of courses to read, why did you choose medicine at OAU?

POTW: I entered secondary school early, so I was already done with Ss3 at the age of 14.๐Ÿฅฒ Then I heard that UI and UNILAG do not accept students less than 16. So I was left with no choice but to choose OAU. ๐ŸฅฒAlso, OAU students have always been known for their “pride”.๐Ÿ˜‚I liked the school when I came to write POSTUTME too.๐Ÿฅฒ As for medicine, I have always liked it.

Medivoice: You weren’t left with only OAU oo,๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… except you didn’t want to explore other geopolitical zones. And yes, OAU will always give off that aura of pride. I mean, it is not easy to be a student of OAU at all๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…. You are in the “passion-driven geng” of doctors, that’s cool I hope this like is reciprocated too o๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚because studying medicine is another story๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Let us take a time jump into the future, where do you see yourself in the next 15 years?

POTW: ๐Ÿ˜‚medicine should pity me o๐Ÿฅฒ
I plan to practice, but then I don’t plan to practice for the rest of my life.๐Ÿ˜‚Let’s see how it goes sha. My life is I’m God’s hands. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Medivoice: ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…my dear, let it pity all of us o. After all the suffering, not practising at all shouldn’t be an option๐Ÿ˜…. As revealed from your responses, you seem to have other passions other than medicine, can you share some of the other things you love doing?

POTW: Yesssss. I love music,๐Ÿ˜fashion and hair๐Ÿ˜‚

Medivoice: Awwwwwn, such a perfect blend. Speaking of music, what kind of music piques your fancy?

POTW: Mostly slow foreign gospel๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿ˜Œ

Medivoice: That kind of song is bliss.๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸSo, you have the world’s attention for a minute, what would be your message?

POTW: I’d tell them about Jesus. He has interest in you.Nothing else can satisfy. Only Jesus. When there’s nobody to lean on, he’s ever ready to lend you his arm๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅ‚

Medivoice: What is one book you can read over and over again?

POTW: I don’t have the best book, but I have a favourite author ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฅฒit’s hard to pick.

Medivoice: I can relate๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…. Okay, let us hear your favourite author.

POTW: Lori Wick.

Medivoice: Awwww. She is such a beautiful writer. Moreso, I have read lots of her books and I enjoyed them. Are you currently in a relationship or you are a single Pringle๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

POTW: Yes. In a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Medivoice: Wahala for who no dey relationship o๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…. So, do you have any college crush?

POTW: Noooo๐Ÿ˜‚.

Medivoice: ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…To all readers, if you have been thinking she is crushing on you, just catch your sub now o๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…. While sleeping, what is a meal you can cook very well even in your dream world?

POTW: Amala๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฅฒ

Medivoice: Omo Yoruba to the core. Finally, who would you love to give a shout-out to?

POTW: Mercy, Clinton, Dami and Ruth ๐Ÿฅ‚
