Summer, that was when we met
Colours everywhere, like the trees knew
The warm days, the laughter, it was the best
I felt the love we had was true
Fall, you left without a warning
The trees are bare, like my arms without you
Winter, cold seeping through my clothes
The fire doesn’t bring warmth like you did
Loneliness creeps in, without you by my side
A void in me, waiting to be filled
I hope to see spring again, new growth everywhere
To feel the sun on my skin, only if you’d be there.
