500 level they say is the most chill class in medical school, but is it really chill? Here are a few responses from 500-level medical students who asked them which posting they would like to do again if given the chance.

Because the posting was just a very new experience for me and also, I saw a new side to medicine as a whole, and it’s really looking good honestly ☺️.

It was stressful but It was always worthwhile to see that a child that was in pain would get better and have another chance to life. I also love the fact that i was able to experience internal medicine.
Emmy: Dermatology please 🤭🤗
No stress and we finish early
No weekday or weekend call 😩
Azzezah: Paeds, I get to appreciate life over and over again . I also got to appreciate the innocence of children, they are light and seeing them happy and in the good state of health makes me happy.
Oyin: OnG. I enjoyed the structure in the department and the registrars and senior registrars were really hands on. Loved it there.

There’s a lot to joke about, from the gbas gbos in morning review to the long wardrounds with percussions in ife
And the regs and consultants actually teach despite their busy schedule
It could be dramatic though
I think I just loved the idea of walking a woman through pregnancy to delivery of the fresh new born neonate 😍

First of all, none. Because all have a boring or rather too stressful part.
I would do only Mental Health and O&G again.
Mental Health is very relatable with interesting cases.
While OnG has been quite soft very chilled SRs and Consultants. Just the messy deliveries. The surgeries are interesting to watch.

Have a bias for derma and mental health, so that might have played a role 🤣
Though the postings were “chiller” and we got to interact more with the doctors
Totele: I have 2 actually
The first is O&G and that’s because I got to see a lot of women smile after experiencing what is said to be the most excruciating pain. The joy the families experience receiving a new member is also good to see. It was also the first posting I saw relatives sharing maltina😂😂
The second is Dermatology. I loved every bit of it… the stuff, flexibility, lecturers, everything was perfect 😁

It was nice learning about the skin and seeing how important it is.
