Hi there, and happy new year! Welcome to the Medivoice fashion column, where we slay like ballers. How are your new year’s resolutions going? And have you said goodbye to the mechanic lifestyle of 2022, or should we mind our business? Whatever your response is, it’s not too late to slay like a baller, and we are here with tips to assist. Trust us; you do not have to break the bank to look expensive. Many of the things listed here are affordable, well, kinda😅.

Last time we gave tips on how guys can slay like ballers, but today we’re here for the ladies. Let’s go right ahead with these tips:

1. Hair and its accessories

Simple and sleek hairdos give you rich aunty vibes. Think ponytails, braids, wigs and healthy, well-styled natural hair. And girl! Remember to lay ’em edges. Finally, make the whole style come together with nice hair accessories and headgear like scarfs, hats etc.

2. Go Monochrome or go home

There is something about monochromatic looks that exudes class and elegance – two evident baller attributes. Why do you think monochrome is the signature style of the British royal family? 

If you want to look sophisticated, your clothes could follow a palette of neutral colors. For example, black, white, grey, beige, nude and brown are perfect for you! However, if you’re going monochrome with a bright color, you could mix different shades of the hue. For example, in the picture above, you can see how elegant Mtee looks in shades of green. It’s giving baller and “steady green-like broccoli” purr💅.

3. Clothes

Regarding clothes, there are many tips on how to look rich. Some of them include wearing;

Blazers: Topping your outfit with a blazer or coat can take you from a 2 to a 10. It makes you look exquisite, especially if you drape it over your shoulders.

Bubu gowns and maxi dresses give rich aunty vibes, and we’re here for it.💅

Silk or satin: Fabrics like silk and satin have a sheen and smooth appearance that will make you look wealthy. Anytime you wear such a fabric get ready for billing. And if your friends wear it, then bill them.

Stylish clothes: Wear clothes that accentuate your body and those with elegant styles. For example, one-shoulder tops and shirt dresses.

4. Jewellery

Simple and classic jewelry like non-tarnish gold or silver will elevate your outfit, making you look chic and less basic. You must have heard the saying, “diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” This is especially true for ballers. 

5. Nails and Makeup

The secret to looking classy is to be well put together effortlessly. Therefore, to look bougie, simple, and light is the way to go when it comes to your nails and make-up.

You can also go with the neutral colors previously mentioned for extra elegance. Although light make-up is preferable for regular day-to-day, you can apply some color for events and parties. It’s high time you started to slay like a baller too.

6. Shoes

Heels!!!

They add a special kind of sexy to your strut. They also improve posture and boost your confidence (unless you do pass yourself and wear heels you can’t carry). You can opt for wedge or low-heeled shoes if you’re not a big fan of high heels. Furthermore, sneakers should also be in your shoe collection. 

Remember boots, especially the stiletto kind. Sweetheart, this balling thing has levels, and you are already an expert-level fashionista if you wear boots.

Others

Other tips worth mentioning include using long-lasting perfumes, shades and those small handbags or purses that do not hold much 😏.
